Job summary

Machina Labs is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for aerospace component production. The role involves precision welding from drawings, setting up equipment, and collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to troubleshoot and improve production.

Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; overtime and weekends as needed. Prior aerospace/AS9100 experience preferred and laser welding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on TIG welding experience.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality precision TIG welds.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols and specs.
• Experience with precision metal fabrication, fitting, and assembly.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and maintain workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG welding on aerospace components and assemblies.
• Set up and operate TIG welding equipment based on procedures and work instructions.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Prepare, fit, tack, align, and assemble components prior to welding.
• Produce consistent, high-quality welds while maintaining dimensional requirements.
• Inspect completed work and identify weld defects or nonconformities.
• Maintain traceability documentation and wear PPE.
