Job summary

Benchmark Electronics seeks a capable team member to operate SMT placement equipment and related tooling, following assembly prints and procedures to manufacture PCBs and systems. The role requires basic math, ability to read technical documents, and adherence to safety standards.

You will assist with line changes, identify feeders, maintain a clean workspace, and handle hazardous waste per policy while performing duties as trained on entry-level equipment.

Qualifications

• Reads assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures, and specifications used in PCB/system manufacture.
• Basic math skills required for measurements and verification.
• May be certified to operate a limited number and variety of basic machines in production.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow assembly prints and procedures to manufacture PCBs or systems.
• Assist with line changeovers and identify feeders by size and type in SMT equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company safety policies.
• Use cross-reference tools to identify part numbers and vendor information.
• Handle hazardous waste properly and ensure labels are present on containers.
• Operate basic entry level machines such as SMT equipment and solder lines as trained.
