Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a laboratory technician to convert field samples into precise numerical data through Proctor tests, sieve analyses, Atterberg limits, moisture content, and compressive strength analyses. You will work within an AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment, maintain logs, and ensure chain-of-custody for every result reported to clients.

Training is provided; no prior CMT experience is required.

Qualifications

• Careful hands, clean documentation habits, mechanical aptitude.
• Prior lab or CMT experience a plus, not required — we train.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work done right every time.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
