Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Laboratory Technician to convert field samples into precise numerical results. You will operate under an AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment and strict accountability for every result released from the lab.

Responsibilities include performing standard ASTM tests, maintaining calibration and records, and logging samples with chain of custody. Training provided; previous CMT experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Careful hands and clean documentation habits.
• Prior lab or CMT experience is a plus, but training is provided.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing.
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records.
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody.
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day.
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments.
