Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to convert field samples into numerical results using Proctor curves, sieve analyses, Atterberg limits, moisture contents, and strength tests. You will work within a documented AASHTO R18 quality system with calibrated equipment and accountability for every result.

The role includes logging samples, preserving chain of custody, and reporting strength results promptly.

Qualifications

• Hand-eye coordination with clean, accurate records.
• Prior lab or CMT experience is a plus, but training is provided.
• Comfortable with repetitive precision work and doing things right every time.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing.
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records.
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody.
• Break cylinders and report strength results the same day.
• Support proficiency samples and accreditation assessments.
