Rinker Materials is seeking a Plant Manager to lead precast manufacturing operations, focusing on safety, quality, and cost-efficiency. You will oversee planning, staffing, and daily production while driving continuous improvement and data-driven decision making across the plant.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of plant leadership in the concrete industry, with strong communication skills and experience with Lean techniques. Travel up to 15% may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience managing a precast concrete manufacturing plant.
• Strong written and verbal communications and professional interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and implementation experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and manufacturing/ERP/database systems software.
• Ability to travel up to 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, staffing, and day-to-day precast operations in a cost-effective manner.
• Track and record metrics; troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues.
• Lead continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
• Analyze production data to identify efficiency gains and defect reductions.
• Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Motivate and lead the team; foster collaboration and accountability.
• Develop training plans and succession strategies.
• Ensure product quality via inspections and material testing procedures.
• Administer safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
