Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Plant Manager to provide leadership for precast manufacturing, drive safe and cost-efficient operations, and continuously improve processes. You will oversee planning, staffing, and daily production while tracking metrics and ensuring quality and safety standards.

You will develop teams, implement Lean practices, and communicate effectively with internal and external partners. This role requires travel and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years managing a precast concrete manufacturing plant.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional demeanor with internal and external relationships.
• Strong knowledge of production management in the concrete industry or equivalent.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Ability to lead a team, set direction and drive cost-effective goals.
• Clear verbal instructions, listening and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, ERP/database systems; detail-oriented planning.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning, staffing and day‑to‑day manufacturing operations.
• Track metrics and troubleshoot to minimize costs and delays.
• Lead continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Analyze production data to identify efficiency improvements and defect reductions.
• Communicate and apply company policies and procedures.
• Motivate employees, lead by example, and empower autonomy.
• Develop training plans and ensure succession planning.
• Ensure product quality through inspections and testing.
• Administer safety program and OSHA compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
