Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II (Precast) to perform mechanical maintenance, diagnose and repair gas, diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and support plant operations in Salt Lake City. You will fabricate, modify and repair equipment, and collaborate with production crews.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating shop tools, and performing preventative maintenance, inspections of fire and water systems and cranes, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education preferred.
• 1–3 years of Production Manufacturing maintenance support is highly regarded.
• Strong reading of instruction manuals and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate new equipment, modify existing equipment as needed.
• Repair equipment with other mechanics as needed.
• Perform general maintenance duties throughout facility.
• Help maintain safety, environmental and other programs as needed.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery.
• Maintain machinery and perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect fire system, water system and cranes.
• Design and build new equipment for various processes.
• Work with Plant Manager on projects.
