Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc in Granite City, IL is seeking a Plant Maintenance Mechanic II to join a on-site team. The role focuses on preventive and predictive maintenance of recycling production systems, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and forklift certification. You will work Monday–Friday with a daytime shift and weekly pay, on-site in Granite City.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years’ experience in maintenance with proficiency in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in maintaining Industrial Equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurance and clean driving record.
• Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools and basic equipment.
• Ability to read instructions and interpret technical data.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of recycling production systems.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in safety trainings.
• Utilize EAM system to enter and retrieve data.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Perform routine inspections and maintain uptime targets.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation.
• Assist in setting up/installing new equipment.
• Keep inventory of equipment and supplies; coordinate with maintenance planner.
