Job summary

Vesuvius North America in Illinois seeks a hands-on manufacturing worker to produce quality products, create batches, and perform loading, packing, and unloading duties safely. You will operate air tools and basic shop equipment, maintain clean working areas, and support shipping of finished goods.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in manufacturing or construction, is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs while standing and moving throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in manufacturing and/or construction preferred.
• Basic metrology knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture quality product and create batches.
• Load, pack, and load/unload production safely.
• Operate air tools and use basic shop tools.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with shipping finished product as needed.

Description

The primary responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to manufacturing quality product, creating batches, loading, packing and loading and unloading production in a safe manner and other general duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, hard-working, dependable, with a get the job done attitude, team player and enjoys working with their hands. Ability to perform manual labor, standing, squatting, and walking, lift up to 50lbs. and with a certain amount of manual dexterity (the ability to pick up, handle, and manipulate) parts and materials quickly and accurately. Have experience in operating air tools. At least 2 years of working in manufacturing and/or construction preferred. Good math skills. Basic metrology knowledge.
