Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Precast Design Engineer to support design and delivery of precast concrete projects across civil and structural applications. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and project managers in a growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5–10+ years of precast concrete design experience.
• Experience with underground structures (vaults, manholes, drainage, pump stations) preferred.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Familiarity with ACI, ASCE, AASHTO; IBC knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute precast design tasks across projects.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for precast components.
• Prepare drawings, plans, specs, and technical documentation.
• Develop cost-effective precast design solutions.
• Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with material selection and cost estimating.
• Participate in QA/QC reviews to ensure quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

What We're Looking For

• * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
• * 5-10+ years of precast concrete design engineering experience
• * Experience with underground structures including utility vaults, manholes, drainage structures, and pump stations preferred
• * Knowledge of ACI, ASCE, and AASHTO standards
• * Familiarity with IBC codes is a plus
• * PE license preferred or ability to obtain
• * Proficiency with AutoCAD and RISA 3D
• * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
