Qualifications

• Knowledge in ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience and/or coding certification is recommended.
• General computer knowledge required.
• Bi-lingual experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Determines eligibility for all payors by obtaining prior authorizations from insurers.
• Obtains information from physician offices for scheduling tests, procedures and admissions.
• Documents prior authorization and communicates with facilities, providers, staff and patients.
• Assists with scheduling, answering phones and relaying messages for therapy center departments.
• Performs therapy aide tasks such as room preparation and organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
