Endeavor Health in Skokie, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse - Pre Procedure Services for a part-time role (20 hours/week) with 9:00 am–5:30 pm days, no weekends. The role focuses on pre-operative assessment, patient education, and coordination with anesthesia teams.

The successful candidate will hold IL nursing licensure, NLN-accredited education, BSN preferred, and BLS/CPR certification, with 5+ years peri-anesthesia experience and EPIC proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current professional Nursing Licensure in IL required
• NLN-accredited school of nursing; BSN strongly preferred
• BLS/CPR Certification for Healthcare Provider required
• Minimum 5 years peri-anesthesia experience; strong pre-admission testing preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC Application

Responsibilities

• Conducts patient interviews via telephone prior to scheduled surgeries to obtain and share procedural information
• Provides patient education via telephone related to upcoming surgery
• Informs patient of pre-anesthetic evaluation process and prepares for anesthesia assessment
• Collaborates with Anesthesia provider team to ensure safe, timely care
• Ensures pre-surgical testing is completed prior to appointment
• Maintains knowledge of nursing procedures across service lines
• Promotes hospital quality improvement and patient safety
