Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Pre-Procedure Coordinator to manage care coordination for patients undergoing OR and clinic-based procedures, serving as the primary contact for all scheduling and service needs.

You will liaise with administrative and clinical staff from multiple departments to enhance the patient experience, handling a demanding workload with accuracy, organization, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• Experience scheduling patient appointments, billing, or healthcare operations.
• Experience with EPIC systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office-based procedures and submit OR case requests with provider and time/location slot, using the scheduling platform.
• Determine if appointments align with the diagnosis/indications indicated by the provider.
• Provide patients with accurate information about test preparations and directions; answer questions as needed.
• Screen data for completeness and obtain any additional information required to complete the record.
• Ensure presence of consents, history and physical, lab reports, medical clearance, and other necessary documents.
