Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Pre-Procedure Coordinator to manage care coordination for patients undergoing OR and clinic procedures and serve as the primary contact for scheduling, billing, and patient communication.

This role requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to work with multiple departments. EPIC experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Prior experience in patient appointment scheduling, billing, or health care required.
• Experience with EPIC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules office-based medical procedures and submits OR case requests with provider and time/location slot.
• Effectively uses clinical knowledge to determine if the appointment aligns with the provider's diagnosis/indications.
• Provides accurate, detailed information to patients regarding test preparations and answers questions.
• Screens data for completeness and obtains any additional information required.
• Ensures presence of necessary consents, history and physical, labs, and medical clearance.
