Job summary

Duke University Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse II for the Ambulatory Surgery Center in Durham, NC. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork within a nine-operating-room ASC that supports a diverse surgical specialty portfolio.

The Clinical Nurse II will provide and supervise nursing care, participate in professional practice activities, and uphold nursing standards per North Carolina Board of Nursing guidelines.

Qualifications

• Twelve months of appropriate clinical experience is required.
• Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) is required.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating).
• Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nursing care for patients in guided by DUHS Professional Practice model.
