Job summary

Froedtert Health’s Menomonee Falls Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our on-site pharmacy team. Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will assist in preparing and distributing medications and support essential pharmacy operations.

A minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred, with a high school diploma and an accredited technician program. Wisconsin registration is required by hire date with a 12-month window to obtain it; PTCE or ExCPT

• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date (must apply by dates given) and must be obtained within 12 months.

Shift Details

MCW & CUW: 1 weeknight shift every week and every other weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). UW: Every third weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). Holidays: 2 a year

Job Summary

Following established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.

Experience Description

A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.

Education Description

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.

Licensure Description

Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is preferred.
