Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for on-site work in our hospital pharmacy department. The role involves preparing and distributing medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, following established policies and procedures and adhering to Wisconsin regulations.

A minimum of 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; a high school diploma is required and graduation from an accredited pharmacy technician program is preferred.

Shift Details: MCW & CUW: 1 weeknight shift every week and every other weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). UW: Every third weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). Holidays: 2 a year

Job Summary:

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is preferred.
