Job summary

Group 1 Honda Owings Mills, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a Used Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to grow pre-owned inventory by engaging with service customers. You will follow up with service clients and identify opportunities to sell or trade their current vehicle, then connect them with a Sales team member to continue the process.

The role emphasizes creating interest, building rapport, and delivering a positive customer experience in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.
• Automotive BDC, customer service, or appointment-setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with service department customers to identify potential trade-in and vehicle acquisition opportunities.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to current and previous service customers.
• Build rapport with customers and create interest in having their vehicle evaluated for purchase or trade.
• Schedule vehicle appraisal and acquisition appointments.
• Maintain consistent and professional follow-up with prospective customers.
• Accurately document customer interactions, appointments, and follow-up activity.
• Partner with Sales and Used Vehicle teams to ensure a smooth handoff.
• Deliver a friendly, professional, and low-pressure customer experience.
