Job summary

Newgard Group is seeking a seasoned hotel executive to lead the pre-opening and opening phases of a condo-hotel project in the Miami area. You will oversee the 18-month pre-opening timeline, budget development, and coordination with ownership, developers, and the hotel operator to ensure a successful launch.

You will manage readiness across all departments, implement key systems, and drive the pre-opening strategy, market positioning, and pricing channels.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in hotel operations, with pre-opening experience required.
• Proven experience in at least one full hotel opening cycle.
• Experience with condo-hotel, mixed-use, or STR-based properties strongly preferred.
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience working with hotel systems (PMS, POS, RMS, distribution platforms).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders (ownership, developers, operators).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of the pre-opening critical path (18-month timeline).
• Coordinate with ownership, developers, and hotel operator on project milestones.
• Participate in design and layout reviews to ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee preparation of pre-opening and operating budgets, forecasts, and ramp-up plans.
• Ensure alignment with brand standards and operational requirements.
• Oversee readiness of all operational areas, including Rooms, F&B, and support departments.
• Lead soft opening and grand opening execution.
• Monitor service delivery and guest experience from day one.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing on pre-opening strategy and market positioning.
