AC Hotel National Mall in Washington, DC is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the hotel’s pre-opening and opening efforts. This brand-new property will debut in Spring 2027 and requires a hands-on leader who can recruit and develop a leadership team, establish hotel culture, and drive guest satisfaction and financial performance from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hotel General Manager
• Pre-opening General Manager or hotel opening experience strongly preferred
• Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
• Experience leading full-service, lifestyle, or upscale select-service hotels
• Proven success improving RevPAR, GOP, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement
• Strong financial management and budgeting experience

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the hotel's pre-opening process
• Develop and execute the critical path for opening
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop the hotel's leadership and associate teams
• Establish operational standards that exceed Marriott brand expectations
• Drive revenue, profitability, and market share
• Partner with Sales, Revenue Management, and Marketing to maximize performance
• Deliver outstanding guest satisfaction and associate engagement scores
• Manage budgets, forecasting, labor, and financial performance
• Build relationships within the local Washington, DC community
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, safety regulations, and company policies
