Job summary

A&R Hospitality is opening a brand-new Hyatt Studios Venice—a ground-up, extended-stay hotel on Florida’s Gulf Coast. We seek a hands-on General Manager to own the pre-opening and opening phases, hire and train the entire team, and establish systems and processes for a successful launch in February 2027.

You will lead hotel operations, sales strategy, and P&L management, working with ownership, Hyatt brand teams, and regional ops.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hotel management experience as GM/ASM/Director of Operations.
• Strong command of front office, rooms division, and housekeeping operations.
• Proven P&L management, budgeting, and cost control in a lean operating model.
• Experience with hotel PMS and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-opening from construction through grand opening with ownership, Hyatt brand, and regional operations teams.
• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train the entire opening team.
• Set up hotel systems and technology, including PMS, revenue management tools, and back-office platforms.
• Coordinate with construction, design, and project management on FF&E, OS&E, punch lists, inspections, and turnover readiness.
• Drive pre-opening sales by building extended-stay, corporate, and local accounts before doors open.
• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across front office, guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and engineering.
• Own the hotel P&L, annual operating budget, and monthly forecasting.
• Build the hotel’s local sales strategy and develop relationships with area businesses and community partners.
