Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Pre Admit Testing to evaluate patients prior to surgery and educate families about the perioperative process.

You will prepare patients, administer IV therapy and preoperative medications, and participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Florida RN license or recognized Compact Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of one year acute care hospital RN experience.
• Procedural experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education on perioperative process.
• Prepare patient including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care and continuous improvement.
