Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL seeks an experienced RN to support perioperative care. The role involves evaluating patients pre-surgery, educating patients and families, preparing patients for procedures, and participating in surgical safety protocols.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. The ideal candidate has a Nursing degree, Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, CPI, and at least one year in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Florida RN license (State of Florida Registered RN).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• CPI certification.
• Minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Tele RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team.
