Job summary

AMSURG is seeking a Registered Nurse to perform pre-operative duties for endoscopy procedures, including history taking, consent verification, pre-medication, IV placement and vital signs monitoring before anesthesia.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, maintain patient safety, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth pre-procedure processes while documenting care accurately.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with MD State licensure required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Ambulatory surgery center experience preferred (1 year).
• Good IV skills and basic computer skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pre-op duties: assess patient, take history, verify consent, administer pre-medication, IV placement, monitor vitals.
• Provide high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to prepare pre-procedure area and ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
