Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Texas International Endoscopy Center in Houston.

The role provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, including recovery from anesthesia or sedation, and supports physicians in procedure rooms. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, ensuring safety and comfort, while coordinating discharge preparations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills to meet patient and unit needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes continual evaluation of patient conditions, assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation using sterile techniques, and delivering comprehensive patient care as they recover from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsibilities also include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and families in preparation for discharge.
