Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality nursing care before, during, and after procedures.

The role includes assisting in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and ensuring patient safety throughout recovery from anesthesia or sedation. Ideal candidates will be licensed in Texas, with BLS/ACLS (PALS if required) and 1–2 years' PACU or critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas.
  • BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
  • 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
  • Sound nursing judgment and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation using sterile techniques.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care as patients recover from general anesthesia and/or sedation.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes continual evaluation of patient conditions, assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation using sterile techniques, and delivering comprehensive patient care as they recover from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsibilities also include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and families in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas
  • BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center)
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills to meet patient and unit needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • Experience in an ambulatory surgery or outpatient setting is a plus
