Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) is seeking a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for Texas International Endoscopy Center. The role provides continuity and high-quality nursing care, supporting patients through perioperative stages and recovery from anesthesia.

You will assist physicians with conscious sedation and ensure safety, privacy and comfort during care transitions. The ideal candidate has Texas RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and 1–2 years in PACU or critical care, with strong assessment,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS and ACLS required (PALS if required by the center).
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills to meet patient and unit needs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation using sterile techniques.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care as patients recover from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients and families in preparation for discharge.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status during perioperative care.

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. This role includes continual evaluation of patient conditions, assisting physicians in procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation using sterile techniques, and delivering comprehensive patient care as they recover from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsibilities also include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and families in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications
