Job summary

U.S. Urology Partners in New Jersey seeks a Pre-Op/PACU RN to provide comprehensive nursing care for surgical patients before and after procedures. The role emphasizes assessment, monitoring, education, and safeguarding patient safety.

Responsibilities include preoperative assessments, IV starts, consent verification, perioperative documentation, PACU monitoring, pain management, and discharge planning. A BSN and active NJ license are preferred; BLS and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey RN license.
• 2–4 years of experience in Pre‑Op, PACU, Critical Care, or Emergency Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative: conduct thorough assessments, review histories, verify consent, start IVs, educate patients/families, document checklists.
• PACU: monitor recovery, assess airway/respirations/cv/neuro, manage pain/nausea, discharge readiness, document progress.
• General: infection control, patient advocacy, document medications, maintain confidentiality, participate in meetings and training.
