Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is hiring a Pre Op PACU RN. The PACU RN provides continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, with safety and comfort as priorities. May assist physicians in procedure rooms with sedation and sterile techniques.

Qualifications include RN license in the state, nursing program graduation, and 1–3 years in PreOP/PACU; ambulatory surgery center experience preferred; current BLS, ALS and PALS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' PreOP/PACU experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.

Pre Op PACU RN at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
