Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is seeking a Pre Op PACU RN to deliver comprehensive care for patients emerging from anesthesia. The role balances pre‑op and post‑op duties, with emphasis on safety, patient comfort, and privacy.

The center operates with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient outcomes. Applicants should have an unrestricted RN license, graduate from an accredited nursing program, and 1–3 years of PreOP/PACU experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Willing to cross-train to circulate in pre‑op and post‑op areas.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1–3 years' experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS and ALS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family needs pre-discharge.
• Deliver total patient care with emphasis on safety, comfort and privacy.

Pre Op PACU RN at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a candidate who is willing to cross‑train to circulate as well as work in both pre‑op and post‑op areas.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
