Job summary

United Surgical Partners International (USPI) in Tullahoma, TN seeks a Full-Time PreOp PACU RN to provide comprehensive pre- and post-anesthesia nursing care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, safety, and discharge planning, with potential involvement in conscious sedation under physician supervision.

Requirements include RN licensure in Tennessee, graduation from an accredited RN program, BLS/ACLS (PALS as needed), and 2 years PACU/CCU experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active RN license in the state.
  • BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by center.
  • 2 years PACU or Critical Care experience preferred.
  • Strong nursing judgment and workload management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity and quality nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms when needed and maintain sterile technique.
  • Discharge planning and family education as part of care.

Full-Time PreOp PACU RN

At Tullahoma Surgery Center, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care across a range of medical specialties. We are seeking an experienced RN with PreOp, Pre Admissions or experience caring for post anesthesia patients to join our dynamic team. If you are a skilled and compassionate RN who is committed to providing high-quality patient care, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
