Job summary

Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is seeking a Pre Op PACU RN to deliver continuity and high-quality care for patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort throughout recovery and discharge planning.

The role requires RN licensure, recent PreOP/PACU experience (1–3 years), and willingness to operate across pre‑op and post‑op areas within an ambulatory surgical setting. A sign‑on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Willing to cross‑train to circulate in pre‑op and post‑op areas.
• Registered Nurse with an unrestricted state license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; current BLS/ALS.
• 1–3 years of PreOP/PACU experience; ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family preparation for discharge.

Pre Op PACU RN at Eye Surgery Center of Nashville

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• We are seeking a candidate who is willing to cross‑train to circulate as well as work in both pre‑op and post‑op areas.
• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
