Job summary

Eastwest Georgia Surgery Center is hiring a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia. You will assist in the OR with conscious sedation and maintain safety, comfort, and privacy.

Strong clinical judgment and teamwork are essential for success. The role requires Georgia RN licensure, current CPR/ACLS/PALS, and prior intra-operative PACU experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with current Georgia nursing license.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred in intra-operative or PACU settings.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and workload prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for patients in Pre Op and PACU.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout care.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile technique.
• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia assessment and discharge planning.

Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse (Pre Op / PACU RN)

The Prep Op PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
