Job summary

Eastwest Georgia Surgery Center is seeking a Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse to provide continuous, high-quality care before and after anesthesia in a busy outpatient setting. The RN will monitor patient conditions, ensure safety and privacy, and participate in post-anesthesia recovery.

The role requires 3+ years in an intra-operative environment, an active Georgia nursing license, and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and PALS. Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Georgia Nursing License.
• CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum 3 years intra-operative experience.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks and conscious sedation as needed.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate for discharge.

Pre Op PACU Registered Nurse (Pre Op / PACU RN)

The Prep Op PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• CurrentState of Georgia Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years experience preferredintra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
