Job summary

Northwest Georgia Surgery Center in Marietta, GA seeks a PreOp PACU Registered Nurse to join our ambulatory surgical team. You will provide continuous, high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor status, ensure safety, comfort and privacy, and assist physicians in the procedure rooms with sedation and sterile technique.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of an accredited RN program, hold a GA nursing license, and have CPR/ACLS/PALS certification with strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients.
• Assess and monitor patient condition with emphasis on safety, comfort and privacy.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with conscious sedation and sterile techniques.
• Deliver total comprehensive patient care to those emerging from anesthesia or sedation; plan and evaluate for discharge readiness.

PreOp PACU Registered Nurse (PreOp PACU RN)

The Prep Op PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Current State of Georgia Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 3 years experience preferred intra-operative setting.
