Job summary

Carolina Surgical Center at Piedmont in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse for a full-time role. The RN provides continuity and high-quality care for patients emerging from anesthesia or sedation, ensuring safety, comfort and privacy throughout the perioperative period.

The position requires an accredited RN degree, active state license, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and 2+ years in PACU or critical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU following anesthesia or sedation
• Assess the patient’s condition and ensure safety, comfort and privacy at all times
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks including conscious sedation and sterile technique as appropriate
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care in preparation for discharge

PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse at Carolina Surgical Center at Piedmont

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge
