Job summary

OneEnergy Renewables seeks a Development Civil Engineer to provide dedicated civil engineering support for Community Solar and pre-NTP development. You will handle stormwater management input, site constraint review, and discretionary permit exhibits, staying with projects through discretionary permitting.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 3+ years of civil engineering experience with stormwater management and erosion control design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD.
• Experience preparing or reviewing stormwater and site permitting exhibits for discretionary permit submissions.
• Experience interpreting geotechnical and wetland delineation reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities; travels periodically.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and preliminary stormwater management and Special Use Permit exhibits for Community Solar and other pre-NTP projects.
• Provide early civil engineering input on site layout including grading and drainage.
• Serve as internal technical resource for developers on civil/stormwater questions.
• Review geotechnical and wetland reports to support buildable site designs.
• Build stormwater and permitting reference material for priority jurisdictions.
• Prepare technical exhibits and provide meeting support for permit hearings and reviews.
• Coordinate with construction-tracked civil engineering staff for smooth handoffs at NTP.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers to achieve feasible design with minimal iterations.
• Support delivery-tracked civil engineering scope as needed.
• Attend community/agency meetings with project developers.
