Job summary

The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates is seeking a Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team at our San Diego office. The ideal candidate has legal case management experience and a service mindset to guide clients from intake to settlement.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm. Responsibilities include client intake, case tracking, drafting letters, maintaining confidential records, and supporting the team toward successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies.
• Experience in pre-litigation case management is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills essential.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and active listening.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with CASEpeer or Filevine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients and guide them through intake to settlement.
• Monitor cases by verifying attendance, treatments, and responses; advocate needed services.
• Maintain client records by reviewing notes and progress.
• Communicate client progress through weekly meetings and evaluations.
• Request medical records, mail, scan, and track government forms; manage property claims.
• Draft letters of representation and preservation of evidence.
• Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation.
• Maintain confidentiality of client-attorney information.
