Job summary

The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC is seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented Pre-litigation Assistant for our Personal Injury team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate has experience in legal case management and a service mindset.

This full-time role focuses on client intake, case progression, document drafting, and coordination with clients and attorneys. Strong communication, organization, and bilingual Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies.
• 2-5 years of case management (pre-litigation) experience.
• Bilingual Spanish (Preferred).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace.
• CASEpeer/Filevine legal management software experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients and guide them through the case process from intake to settlement
• Monitor cases by verifying client attendance; observing, evaluating and communicating treatments and responses; advocating for needed services and entitlements; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crisis; providing the utmost professional support
• Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress
• Communicates client progress by conducting weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations
• Request medical records; mail, scan and track government claim forms; and manage the resolution of property damage claims
• Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence
• Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation
• Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential
