Amaro Law Firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and pre-litigation team in Houston, TX. This full-time, in-office role keeps cases moving by coordinating client communication, managing insurance adjuster contact, and driving early case investigation.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in a legal or investigative support role, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Filevine. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; some college experience preferred.
• 1+ years in a legal office, intake, insurance claims, customer service, or investigative support.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software like Filevine.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate calls between attorneys and clients, confirm appointments and avoid conflicts.
• Provide regular status updates and respond promptly to inquiries.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters to obtain claim numbers and status.
• Document conversations in the case file and relay updates to the attorney.
• Track scene and site visits and maintain an investigation checklist.
