The ideal candidate has a JD, Texas bar admission, 3–8 years of legal experience (2+ in personal injury), and strong negotiation, research, and client-interaction skills. Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
• 3–8 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in personal injury.
• Experience evaluating liability, reviewing medical records, and negotiating claims.
• Spanish speaking a plus (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of personal injury pre-litigation cases and develop liability, coverage, and damages theories.
• Evaluate cases to determine progression, rejection, or special handling needs.
• Collaborate with treatment paralegals and providers to support clients' medical needs.
• Review and approve demand packages, set settlement ranges, and negotiate settlements with adjusters.
• Direct negotiations and engage with adjusters to maximize recovery.
• Resolve liens and ensure clean final distributions for clients.
• Lead and support assigned paralegals and assistants.
• Advocate for clients and guide treatment and settlement decisions.

Duties

• Manage a docket of personal injury cases, developing liability, coverage, and damages theories.
• Evaluate cases to determine progression, rejection, or special handling needs.
• Collaborate with treatment paralegals and providers to support clients' medical needs.
• Review and approve demand packages, ensuring accuracy and setting settlement ranges.
• Direct negotiations and engage with adjusters to maximize recovery.
• Resolve liens and ensure clean final distributions for clients.
• Lead and support assigned paralegals and assistants.
• Advocate for clients, providing clear guidance on treatment and settlement decisions.
• Learn from senior attorneys and contribute to case strategies.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 3-8 years of legal experience, including at least 2 years in personal injury.
• Experience in evaluating liability, working with medical records, and negotiating claims.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with legal research databases and case management software.
• A genuine desire to advocate for injured individuals.

Preferred

• Experience with motor vehicle, commercial trucking, or premises liability cases; Spanish speaking a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
