Job Details

• Job Title: Pre-Litigation Attorney
• Type of Position: Full Time
• Location: Usually, M-F 9-5 pm with flexibility; travel and driving to locations required. May require availability outside of business hours and on some weekends based on investigation needs.
• Pay: $100K/year – $160K/year

Responsibilities

• Work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Pay close attention to details when drafting court documents
• Gather all relevant information, evidence, and documentation, including medical records, bills, loss of earnings, and lifestyle changes, to support case building
• Negotiate claims
• Follow up with clients
• Appear in court for hearings
• Review liability and insurance options during pre-litigation
• Build relationships and communicate with clients and their families
• Conduct investigations, collect and analyze evidence to determine claims, liability, defendants, and insurance coverage
• Perform legal research and analyze case law
• Assess evidence to determine liability and case strategy
• Draft government claim forms and demand letters
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and draft correspondence as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Licensed attorney in California
• Comfortable meeting with clients both on-site and off-site
• Willing to travel and flexible with hours
• Able to discuss cases with experts
• Creative, flexible, and a team player
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent written communication with attention to detail
