Job summary

Regina Coeli Child Development Center in Springfield, Oregon, seeks an Aide to support specialized goals for children identified as needing assistance. You will observe, record behavioral data, and communicate progress with staff, consultants and parents.

The role requires adherence to Head Start standards, confidentiality, and collaboration with classroom staff. A CDA credential or enrollment is preferred, or a degree in ECE/CD or related field; bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or enrollment to complete within 2 years.
• Degree in ECE/CD or related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities to facilitate participation by the special needs child/children.
• Promote communication and socialization between children.
• Assist with feeding, toileting, dressing and other care duties.
• Implement behavior management techniques and monitor progress.
• Observe and record progress in the classroom.
• Assist staff with curriculum and individualized goals.
• Routinely communicate observations with staff, consultants, and parents.
• Attend meetings, trainings and professional development activities.
• Generate In-Kind and other duties as assigned.
