Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year experience working with children ages 3-5.
• Ability to meet Head Start Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality.
• Ability to write clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of parents/guardians.

Responsibilities

• Observes and records behavioral data and progress as directed by the Teacher.
• Routinely communicates observations and progress with program staff.
• Adapts planned activities to facilitate participation by special needs children.
• Promotes communication, play, and socialization with classmates.
• Performs required caregiving activities (feeding, toileting, dressing) as necessary.
• Implements behavior management techniques and monitors progress as directed.
• Assist staff in implementing curriculum and goals for the children to promote growth.
• Encourage parental involvement and maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians.
• Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to be insurable under CRIHB’s insurance policy.
