Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have CDA credential or be in CDA program within 2 years.
• College degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Adapt activities and materials to include the special needs child/children.
• Promote communication and socialization between the special needs child/children and peers.
• Perform caregiving activities (feeding, toileting, dressing).
• Implement behavior management techniques and monitor progress.
• Observe and record each child’s progress in the classroom.
• Assist staff in implementing curriculum and individualized goals.
• Routinely communicate observations and progress with staff, consultants and parents while maintaining confidentiality.
• Attend meetings and trainings; participate in professional development.
• Serve as 2nd bus monitor for centers with bus transportation.
• Generate In-Kind.
• Other duties as requested.
