Job summary

Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant to support the Lead Teacher in a pre-k program. You will help plan daily activities, prepare materials, and supervise children in small and large groups.

Qualifications include an associates in Early Childhood or CDA credentials; or CDA in progress within 1 year. You must be able to lift 30 pounds, communicate clearly, and work well with families.

Qualifications

• Associates in Early Childhood/Child Development preferred.
• CDA credential (or CDA program enrollment to be completed within one year) is required at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily programming under the supervision of the Lead Teacher.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, inviting environment for children and parents.
• Assist with daily classroom duties including preparing materials, supervising groups, and logging observations.

Education

Associates in Early Childhood/Child Development preferred

CDA credential or CDA program enrollment within 1 year
