The position requires 60 college credit hours or MO paraprofessional testing, with 7.5 hours/day over 171 days/year, and a starting date to be determined.

Qualifications

• Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: adhering to safety practices; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.
• Knowledge-based competencies include age-appropriate activities for high-risk youth and grammar/punctuation concepts.
• Ability includes coordinating with others, confidentiality, teamwork, and handling interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities under the direction of the supervising teacher to support objectives.
• Communicates with professionals to assist in evaluating progress and implementing IEP objectives.
• Collects student data for monitoring growth and revising IEP/BIP as needed.
• Provides accommodations to increase accessibility in gen-ed and special-ed settings.
• Maintains confidentiality and records; supports social behavior in a culturally sensitive manner.
• Delivers instruction to students under teacher direction to support IEP goals.
• Monitors students for safety across environments and de-escalates as needed.
