Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K to support teachers in general and special education classrooms. The role involves assisting in instruction, preparing materials, and ensuring a safe, encouraging environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; pursuing an associate degree with progress of six credit hours per year.
• CPI certification similar program required or provided by WCPSS.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities in Pre-K programs.
• Provide a safe, caring, and healthy environment for all students.
• Support planning and organizing, evaluate instructional activities, and prepare materials.
• Coordinate with teachers on health care needs and CPI skills as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and assist with reports and records.
