Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta seeks a dedicated Floater to support the delivery of high-quality early childhood education under the direction of the Center Director and Education Manager. You will implement the program's goals, support lead teachers, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom environment.

You will assist with family engagement, assessments, health & safety, and professional development while meeting licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 19 years of age.
• CDA, TCC (preferred).
• Have experience working with children.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• TB screening and a physical must be submitted before working.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality educational experiences following program goals and objectives.
• Assist lead teachers in developing lesson plans and activities aligned with early learning standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom and proper records.
• Engage families and communicate regularly with parents.
• Assist in health and safety practices and in completing required incident reports.
